We are looking into permitting inbound web traffic to one specific server, which in turn kicks off an application that is used to process somewhat sensitive data in a database. Our Gauntlet firewall enables us to require hard token authentication for the web based traffic. If the data is encrypted and we require hard token authentication, can the session still be hijacked to gain access to our network? If so, what other measures need to be taken to secure this?
