If you have Solstice version:
1) get a eval license key for version 3.0 from Checkpoint.
2) install that license -- this will allow the 4.0 checkpoint to see your
solstice 3.0 version
3) install the version 4.0 Checkpoint
Now you have two directories, one for the sun version and one for the
checkpoint.
If you want to delete the Sun version, when you do a pkgrm of the package, it
will remove some needed links or such, like /dev/fw0, in which, you must
reinstall Checkpoint version 4.0 to put it back...
