Unless this machine has extremely expensive interfaces it appears to me that
it would be much easier to add a second interface, number each individually
and hook them back into the same segment.  I don't know of any policy based
routing algorithms that run on hosts but it you may be able to use policy
based routing to accomplish this if you are going through a router.
