I suggest you don't use CVP ... it's not particularly fault-tolerant. Also,
if you use FW-1 (not sure about others), you may need to setup another SMTP
server, as the SMTP security server that comes with FW-1 has a lot of issues
with outgoing mail.
At least this is the way it is on NT -- Solaris might be different. Perhaps
someone else could provide specifics on how well CVP works for e-mail in/out
on Solaris?
Trend Micro makes a product that runs on Solaris. I haven't seen this
product on Solaris, but I assume it works much like the NT one, which I have
evaluated. It can run standalone, operating as an SMTP server which will
then forward mail to your internal SMTP servers. You might want to check it
