I traceroute through mine all the time.  The only problem I see is 
with the network.  I can't talk to systems on friends DSL lines.  
The routing between DSL lines dosen't work on the central DSL hub.

Questions: 
  Who is your ISP? - they might be blocking.
  Have you checked your software on your computer?  Is it properly 
    setup? Could it be blocking the packets?  Turn on logging of
    denighed/rejected packets.  
  Another question is your 675 in bridging mode or routing mode?  
    In bridging mode it shouldn't do any filtering except maby on 
    the MAC address.  In routing mode I think it can be told to do 
    rudimentary filtering.  If you can access it's http server to
    set configuration options, it's in routing mode.  Placing it
    in bridging disables the http server.  Warning, don't change it
    from bridging or routing mode to the other as both ends of the 
    link need to agree.
