I hope someone can help me , because I am a newbie here in this area and
would like to protect my private network here in the house.
I have here a Motorola Cablemodem ( mod. Cybersurfwith RJ45 , 10Mbit Lan,
Speed aprox. by 300 kb/sec ) this modem is unable to make NAT and has no
security option included , my provider has also no security software
running,.Here in the house we has several PC's with Win95/98 and NT ( only
for fileserving ) and also Linux ( it is for more families ) So we deciede
to integrate a router who supports NAT translation, our problem is that I
didn't know exactly which router is usefull , the router should have a
integrated firewall and packet filtering option. i hope some can help me and
give some usefull help:o))
