1) Copy the public key portion of the identity file (id_???_????_a.pub, id_rsa_1024_a.pub for example) from your local ~/.ssh2 directory into the ~/.ssh2 directory on each server to which you are going to ssh. If you want to use the same key to authenticate to additional remote accounts, you must copy the pub file to the .ssh2 direcoty for those accounts as well. 2) Create the file authorization in the .ssh2 directories to which you copied the pub file. this file should contain the line: Key id_???_????_a.pub 3) Edit the file /etc/ssh2/sshd2_config and make sure the following option is set: PubKeyAuthentication = yes 3) If you want to force all users to authenticate with keys instead of passwords, also set the option: PasswordAuthentication = no Read the online manual for sshd2 for a detailed description of all the options in /etc/ssh2/sshd2_config Have fun, Lars Smith -----Original Message----- From: Darryl Wagoner [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, August 27, 1999 7:29 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Could someone give me a cook book example of setting up SSH2 to use a non-password auths Greetings, I am trying to use ssh-keygen2 to be able to ssh into another system.
