Without more information, my guess would be to check the DNS settings of the
client (client might be trying to resolve the hostname of the proxy over
multiple DNS entries and timing out on the first before failing over) as
well as the reverse-DNS (proxy might be trying to resolve the IP of the
client and timing out).
