you have to look at two aspects: hardware and software, with hardware you
can go into SANs, check ibm's ssa, hp, hitachi, sun, clariion, emc, mti,
storagetek etc., solutions. then on the software side of things depands if
you want datacenters, datamarts, or just plain gigabits of disk space, then
you need to check sun, oracle, informix etc.
