Happy new year.
I am new on this list but coming with an old problem that I cannot solve.
The question that bothers me has been raised on 23 nov. 1998 by Vanner
Vasconcellos ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) about the proxy arp function of
WindowsNT/Firewall-1.
I know how to write rules, put and compile, close my system, start and
restart Fw-1. I am NT administrator.
My network has a public backbone whos adress is 194.167.145.0 and a private
one linked through an NT machine :
OS: Windows NT 4.0 SP5,
FW: 4.0 build 4031
Public segment NIC IP : 194.167.145.253 (external to FW),
00-60-08-7b-24-2c : MAC adress of the above interface,
194.167.145.104: static IP for the NAT translation rule of a work station
located in the private network.
I have configured my system with a local.arp file (in c:\winnt\fw\state
folder-directory).
Policy data base Installed and Policy installed properly, FW stopped and
restarted : no result, the workstation canot operate telnet, nor http.
Where is mistake ? Please, can you help me;
