Akamai is an internet caching service hard and crunchy on the outside, but
very soft in the inside. Not the greatest way to architect or implement a
attempted large scale internet caching service.
It makes a firewall admin's job a living hell, since there are so many
connects and disconnects from them, especially they way it attempts to
limit the number of hops and such to provide quick web response. Hey
former BBN planet people who work there, you guys should know better. !!

To everyone: "Thanks!"
I've written the site's sysop and have requested more info on the sub
domain name foobar but since it's Saturday I probably won't know anything
till at least Monday.
I should mention that I had just opened my browser and was sitting at a
blank page (which is how I've configured Netscape to open up) when the TCP
inbound happened. Now I'm curious as to why this would happen at that
moment...<shrug>
Anyway, I really appreciate all of your help!
Warm regards,
Sihaya

from who ever is requesting the page. The number (951514199.) is an MD5
hash for the file (graphic) that is being served. At least that is what my
friend that works there told me..
