Hey Guys,
I found out somethnig very weird yesterday, i was online with a isp i havn't used in a
while (dial up) .. My Conseal pc firewall was up and running, no packets getting in
no nothing, so i let it idle, and about 1 hour of idleing, i noticed my hard drive
activity going mad, looked on the pc and i was blocking out ICMPs... Type 3 Icmps to 2
Diffrent Ip's But same Diffrent ISP ...
/Blocking Outgoing ICMP -SRC: my addy - DST : Diffrent isp : Type 3 ..
I know this is a host unreachable ip, but why would my machine all of the sudden start
sending these packets to those 2 diffrent PPP acounts on another isp? .... Prior to
this, i didn't notice any traffic towards me .... Anyone got a clue on what this might
of been.. this was going on for abotu 5 minutes then stopped, was this a attack on the
whole isp .. or just me ? ... Do tell.
