'Programme' and 'specialised' are the correct International English. In
most English speaking countries, the -ize ending is deprecated and
'program' is usually only acceptable when describing a piece of
software. It's you Amercians who do it differently.
If you make such an over-the-top response to a newbie question, try at
least to get your facts straight.
