thanks for the reply to everyone.  i've seen where nslookup would fail
numerous times for rev-dns and dig just does a wonderful job in groping for
hostnames/ip relationships.  dig even showed me the user's isp abuse email
address c/o the dns admin.

does not a dns server need to cache a dialup account for x amount of
time/duration?  i would ascertain that until the next dialup account grabs
that ip that the ownership would be still there.
