Hi there,

I'm looking for a firewall that has the minimum impact on installation into
a large existing network.

I'm after an 'all in one' solution if possible, some kind of hardware box I
can plug in (i.e. not a PC running NT or unix variant).

I was hoping for a device that would leave the IP configuration of the
devices on the network intact as well as the router (which is on the 'edge'
of the network). The physical stretch of wire that needs protecting has
several different IP subnets on it. I'm hoping that there exists devices
that can be dropped in with total transparency to begin with and then, as my
knowledge increases (!!!), can be made tighter and tighter.

If anyone has any advice regarding possible solutions I'd be grateful.

Many thanks,

Ashley Culver
