Tia,

It is possible in some switches to have a node belong to more than one VLAN.  This 
sounds like what you are trying to accomplish.  I know most
products on the market today do support these types of configurations.  I have been 
evaluating a 3Com Corebuilder 9000 switch, and it will do this
(although I do not think the predecessor CB5K would do this).

Likewise I am sure that Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel (formerly Xylan), etc. all have boxes 
that will do this.  I had some older Xylans that did, so I'm sure
the newer Alcatel OmniSwitches do.
