Ron, please read the Special Report: Network Security "Gauging the Real
Hacker Threat to Your Network" on NetworkMagazine (Febrary 2000)
For my side, I think that analyze your network is good (i.e with a
Sniffer),
but when your network is very large and has enough connections to fill a
capture file of serveral Megas in a few seconds o minutes, you need a
template to catch bad packets.
