I found a problem,
when I startup the windows 98, it automatically execute dial-up
connection,
I have checked registry and win.ini , and also msconfig to check whether
some application is started after boot,
but I found nothing's to do with it.
Any advise pls

A hacker has wrapped up BlackICE executables and added a trojan horse to
them, then distributed it on their website as a full install of
BlackICE.
People pirating software have downloaded this version.
Network ICE signs the installation program with authenticode. If you are
going to pirate it, at least verify the authenticode signature :-).

I haven't seen this topic raised anywhere, and I thought that someone on
the list might be able to confirm or refute a disturbing allegation.
Recently, two posters in the Usenet Newsgroup (cableinet.cable_modems)
claimed to have detected Black Ice acting as a Trojan. Is this a nasty
rumour that can be safely dismissed or is there truth to the allegation?

If that URL doesn't work (it works fine for me), then trying getting
Deja News to search the cableinet.cable_modems newsgroup for postings
about Black Ice. The posting was made on or about February 25, 2000.
I'm not sure if it is considered proper to include the text so I'll let
interested parties take a look for themselves.
I really hope this isn't true - I was thinking of recommending the
product to my clients who need to protect the PC Client endpoints of
VPNs.
