Jack since you are 14 and new to security what i will do is send you a single
CD of Linux-Mandrake. if you would like that then let me know and i will send
it friday sometime. ( i am a distributor so i can send it to you if you
want) welcome to a very incredible world i might add that don't let your age
stop you from contributing as i have noticed that some very amazing people in
security were producing security programs at around your age that have gained
great popularity... now onto the second comment.. you want to use..
netstat -a
to see the ports that are listening.. that way you can close down what you
have open. looks to me that you have bigger problems though but good luck and
i hope it works out for you. something else that i noticed is that your
ipchains rules are way... way too long... explicitly deny everything just like
the movies and then allow only what you really need. as well allow only what
you really need in the direction that you really need.
