>I just browsed through ipchains.rules and found a bunch of ACCEPT rules
for 206.10.253.6, 206.10.253.47, 206.10.252.17, 206.etc.etc.etc. None of
these are my ip address nor my DNS servers or anything else I configured
into the linux system.
Each entries says ACCEPT for things such as: -A input, -A dns_fw, -A
ident_fw, -A ssh_fw, -A mail_fw, -A ftp_fw, -A ping_fw, -A misc_fw using
one of the above or a dozen other ipaddresses.<
======
One thing I noticed, when setting all except OUTPUT to DENY there is a 2-5
minute delay before sendmail or eth0 each say [OK] when rebooting. And
when I run nmap on my ipaddress there is no responses, it says 0 hosts up.
Also './etc/rc.d/init.d/ipchains restart' says device or resource busy once
I set all to deny. I read the ipchains HOW-TO and still this doesn't make
sense to me why this is happening _since_206.etc.etc.etc_ is not my
ipaddress :(
