Error Description
APAR created by Doug McLaren, L2 Framework. PMR is

.
The following error occurs periodically. As a
result, we cannot
log
into the system. The logon NT domain disappears. A
reboot is
necessary to recover from the error.

Periodically the TMR server, Inventory server, or

bring up the error. Normally, these domain systems
have three en

at the logon prompt (Username, password, domain).
When the error
occurs, on ly the Username and Password fields
exist. No passwor

any Username is accepted. Thus, the system is
useless.

.
Why do we think this is a Tivoli problem?
.
This is a Microsoft Windows NT 4 problem. However,
the system ru
nning
al one will not throw the lsass.exe error. Tivoli
in some way is
exacerbating t he problem to occur. I believe
Tivoli development
has
already reported the problem to Microsoft. If you
look on the
Microsoft web site or use Microsoft TechNet, other
applications
will appear having the same problem.
