Hello, I am currently in the process of configuring rules for different proxies on solaris 2.6. I can telnet a machine on the internet from the firewall machine but when I try to do the same from an internal client machine (behind the firewall), I get 'request timed out' error. In another instance, I had firewall installed on two machines (which were like mirrored disks - the only difference was the IP addresses), I am able to telnet from one machine but not the other. Similarly, when the external client requests an FTP-connection to 10.0.10.2, following too many errors (around 350) appear on the screen: Apr 4 12:51:47 crit proxy-ftp[4598]: c5996 data connect to IPv4[10.0.10.2:1026]: Connection timed out Could there be something wrong with the rules settings or some thing else which is beyond my comprehension. I would wellcome and appreciate any input/suggestions/help on these issues.
