SecuRemote, once installed on a system running Windows, will start as a
service. So at reboot it will be started automatically when the system is
rebooted.
SecuRemote runs as a process located between layer 2 and 3, so it can control
the whole outgoing traffic. During the installation process the public key of
the FW-1 where the VPN shall be located to will be downloaded - and in
addition to that the encryption domain of the FW-1 (here being the other end
of the VPN). If packets leaving the system directed to Internet, no encryption
will be done - except the traffic to this encryption domain, which will be
encrypted with the method chosen in the program (can be done while preparing
the machine for the user).
The first time the user connects to the firewall, he has to authenticate. If
further authentication is configured, the user will be prompted again - but he
has not to use a "key" or so turning the encryption on or off.
Hope it helps...
Best regards
Matthias
