I have no idea where the heck you looked but. IPNat is the kernel level
interface to nat, and natd is the user land process implimentation of nat.

hardknocks:~>which natd
/sbin/natd
hardknocks:~>which ipnat
/usr/sbin/ipnat

4.0-STABLE FreeBSD 4.0-STABLE #0: Mon May  8 00:19:14 PDT 2000

/sbin/natd
manek@always:964:~>which ipnat
/sbin/ipnat

On a 2.2.x box you are on your own, a find / -name natd -print might help
you.
