NAI decisions confort my opinion that they are a microsoft
centric company and try to minimize the number of supported
unices. They have droped BSD/OS, so there are few chances
they will port to Linux. Though the hype may get them excited...

Gauntlet is certainly a good FW, but there are so many ones these
days to be able to choose your platform (provided you don't go
for a really exotic one).

You may decide to use an open source solution, if the administration cost
and the lack of a contractual support don't bother you.
if you however have something else to do, and have non-obvious configs, then
go for a commercial one.
