OS hardening is not a chore of the firewall code, that is the admins job
of the box in question. How much and if to harden are determined by the
paranoia level of the admin and or installer of the firewall code in
question.
I believe there was recent mention that fw-1 is or will be soon supported
on linux, and fwtk has been running for sometime on linux.
