I find that No. 6 fencing wire works best. It has a myriad of uses - even
fencing ! We're planning an upgrade later this year that will allow a fax or
email to travel along the fencing wire by attaching electrodes. Not quite
CAT-5, but you can't keep an HQ Holden together with CAT-5 for very long.
Next year we're planning on installing two pieces of wire between every site
for full-duplex as well - and running a strand down to the sheep dip!
