You cuould look into the personal firewall options
either software or hardware..One co. I am aware of
uses the watchguard soho for firewalling and the
compatible vpn router which has clients for winblows,
and linux that can function from behind a nat box
(ipsec inside fake http).  If nat is not needed Nortel
contivity works well.. and can be configured to allow 
split
session tunnels along with a client policy that will
shut down the tunnel if certain traffic on the client
is detected.  Infoexpress is another option..
