I am kind of confused with the mixed terminology and different
interpretations.. Are there any pointers to give following information..
1. What is filtering beyond network layer for ftp, http, telnet?
( I assume, network layer is filter by source, destination, port which is
essentially service as http etc.)
2. What is protocols authenticated by firewall ftp, http etc?
3. How is content filtering achieved?
4. How is URL filtering and virus filtering done? (stateful??)
5. Lastly, any recommendations for the small office firewalls?(what does
watchguard firewall SOHO do? packet-filtering or stateful?)
