token ring + ethernet in an ultra2

any one know of an issue/resolution to having a token ring card (mtu 1406)
with a fast ethernet card (mtu 1500) in an ultra2 running fw-1 v4.0?

what would happen if i changed the mtu to 4096 (same as clients)? i'm
thinking who ever installed the token ring card in the first place set the
mtu to 1406 to reduce fragmentation with the ethernet card...
