Heavens, no! If we excised every word from
the vocabulary which tickled somebody's
Offense-O-Meter, we'd soon be reduced to using
a vocabulary appropriate only for communicating
with idiots, and insulting the intelligence of
the rest of us.
The word "queer" was used entirely
appropriately. If you failed to understand
the usage, it was your responsiblity to educate
yourself, not the poster's responsibility to
anticipate every possible offended sensibility.
