It works well, (I am assuming you are already in a protected network)
You assing one network address to each interface for the pix:
ip address int1 192.168.1.253 255.255.255.0
ip address int2 10.10.10.1 255.0.0.0
then you have all the machines in each network using the default route to
the respective pix address.
And the depending if you need limited access from a network to the other you
can create a generic static tranlation or you can do it in a host by host
basis.
Then you create your conduits.
Mnk.

Subject: Cisco PIX on a LAN
Folks,
I have a quick question. Can you make a Cisco PIX work as a bridge between
two different subnets? I have a network say 10.x.x.x and on the other side I
have a network 192.168.x.x. I want the machines on the 10.x.x.x network to
be able to talk to 192.168.x.x without using a router. Is this possible? Has
anybody been able to do this? If yes, can somebody send me a sample
configuration on the same.
Would appreciate all the help from you folks.
Thanks and Regards,
- Gaurav
