hiya, Can you let me know your opinions on the following proposal made to the business for ugrading our Internet Infrastructure... I'd like to know advantages/disadvantages please, thanks. We will be buying 2 Compaq servers to run Firewall-1 along with Stonebeat HA to form a firewall-1 cluster. the OS will be NT4 (does it need hardening?) We will also be placing dual Alteon web switches behind the firewalls to facilitate fault tolerance, load balancing and virtual server groupings. We will be placing another 2 Alteon web switches in front of the firewalls just prior to the routers for additional fault tolerence etc. The 2 NT4 firewall-1 firewalls will have 4 NIC's, 1 to the other firewall-1, one to the internal Alteon web switch, 1 to a switch for the DMZ and the last to the external web switch. The connections between 1 of the firewall-1's and the external web switch will also have a Packeteer PacketShaper installed for QoS. So, where are the flaws in this plan?
