Most mail servers have functions that limit who can send mail via your smtp
server, either by looking at the host IP adress, by using smtp
authentication, or other methods. What software are you running?

I've noticed that when I telnet to any mail servers on port 25, I can send
email to anyone using SMTP commands. Is there a way to stop this?

Thanks.
