your question seems to be quite off topic, but I'll assume that you are
interested in
the security side of "it".
first, you should learn that microsoft stack, which probably originated as
a copy
of BSD code, has shown many vulnerabilities and dsign flaws over the past.
These vulnerabilities proved that
- mircosoft is really too new to the area
- though its "power", ms couldn't "get at it"
- their software delivery process is outstanding and revolutionary. It
obeys the:
"deliver yesterday, design tomorrow" process that other companies have find
hard to follow.
- there are doubts that they understand the technicalities of TCP/IP, even
today.
They are too concentrated on the "make it easy to use" that they forget to
"make it
usable".
so, get yourself infos somewhere else
such as www.freebsd.org, www.openbsd.org, www.netbsd.org, www.linux.org.
www.ldp.org,
(get a copy of freebsd handbook, and of the network administration guide)
Follow the links as long as you feel thirsty.
Also, buy Steven's "TCP/IP illustrated" and "Unix network Programming".
These are a kind of bibles.
regards,
mouss
