I have a used PIX 520 and the seller provided me with the password to enter
the existing configuration. Thanks to lots of great help from this forum, I
have a good deal of my production configuration worked out. But I'd like to
change the password on the configuration. I've tried, but the change didn't
seem to 'take'. I still must use the original password to access the
configuration.
In my configuration, I now have two password related lines.
enable password t60eLyFBpqRb1xxx encrypted
passwd XR7NvqJVJvJ.Qxxx encrypted
One of these lines may have been inserted by my ill-fated attempt to change
the original one.
I'm confused by the documentation, because it talks about entering either a
cleartext value or an encrypted value (encrypted with what!!??).
Can someone walk me through how I can set the password for this box to what
I want?
