ipchains + which fw product

I have an ipchains RH firewall and I would like to make orthogonal
security systems from the DMZ to local machines.

I would like to know what people think the best partner with ipchains
would be for this type of configuration.

We are willing to look at any product but would prefer a low cost
open source solution if possible.
