I currently have am using Check Point 4.0 on an NT machine. This is for a school so we have multiple sites and they are being translated out through hidden NAT. However, two of the sites have weather stations that have to be queried so static NAT is being used. Currently, it will not work. I looked in Check Point's manual and read how to add a static route entry and how to add an arp entry. No matter what I do, it will not accept the route entry. This is the syntax I used: route -p add public_ip_address private_ip_address When I do this I get an error 87 - The route addition failed. I went into the registry and added it there and rebooted the machine - the route table still did not show the route. I tried adding it the the fwstart file to force the firewall to load the route every time and then re-started the firewall and...still no route entry. I looked at some suggestions on Phoneboy's site and added an arp entry which was added to the arp table however the static NAT is still not working and I think it is due to the issues I am having with the route command. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? Nadine Langlois - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
