This is simply traditionnal NAT, which consists of changing the source
addresses
of packets. the fact that packets are incoming or outgoing is a
configuration question.
a NAT box, a firewall, ... are symmetrical systems.

as I said above, the product is not rare. the setup is (I've
never seen that, but I'm young:)
I have unfortunately nothing to recommend except using 2 machines, as I don't
see how things could work... but I'm repeating myself here.
