Hi! I know that maybe this is slightly OT. but I need some quick input on linux+ipchains firewalling speed. I need to deploy a quick & dirty FW on a 155Mbps link used for video-on-demand distribution. Very few rules. The question is... what hardware you guys there recomend? Ether cards, CPU, RAM... I'd like it cheap but I must assure that it'll cope with 155Mbps. On the Ether. card matter I'd also like to take special attention to Linux compatibility subjects if any.....
