Very few PC-style boxen let you change the BIOS over the serial port. 
Serial consoles are great once the OS boots. If the OS doesn't boot, you're 
kinda' hosed. Now if the bootstrap loader supports a serial console and 
lets you do a network install, you're not as bad off, but I want a box that 
_never_ tries to use KVM, just the serial port. A few such boxen have been 
recommended at this point - if this project gets the go-ahead, I'll do an 
eval and post the results.
