Hello Ragu,
First things first. You don't unzip or untar the .tgz package file on the
Nokia platform. The gzip program is included in the IPSO OS and if you
needed to unzip something you would just use "gzip -d filename". However,
you never unzip or untar package files.
To install them, you would use the newpkg command. You can use the -i
switch if you'd like but you'll have to go into Voyager after you finish
installing and turn on the package there. Without the -i it turns on the
package for you. If you're installing SP2 as an upgrade to SP1 then be sure
to choose upgrade when newpkg asks about it.
Of course, if the 330 is just a FW module and you have a seperate management
station then it doesn't really matter except for putkeys. If the 330 is also
your management station then you'll definitely need to choose upgrade or it
won't migrate your rules and objects up to SP2.
Once the newpkg command finishes installing the software, then you can go
into the Voyager interface and check under "Manage Installed Packages". You
should see your new FW-1 software listed there to be turned on or off. If
you turn it on here, you will have to reboot the Nokia after you hit Apply
and Save. Otherwise I believe that newpkg tells you to reboot after the
install completes at the command line. Hope this helps. Let me know if you
have any problems or more questions.

PS - You don't have to upgrade the OS after you upgrade the package. There
is a new version of SP2 out for the Nokia platform but its strictly for the
new IPSO 3.3 release. What version of IPSO are you running?
