#From bad memories I recall that NSA is using 'SecureZone' and possible
#something selfwritten :>
The NSA uses Sidewinder along with the Air Force, DOD, Army, CIA and other
governmental agencies. SecureZone is pretty much dead. Both SecureZone
and Sidewinder are Secure Computing firewalls. As mentioned before the
military also uses Guantlet, Raptor, and Firewall-1. There were rumours
floating around (unfounded as near as I can tell) that Firewall-1 had a
backdoor installed by the Moussad. A lot of high tech Israeli companies
are founded by people who started out in military intelligence which
probably helped fuel this rumour. There was a discussion about this on the
firewall-wizards mailing list (www.nfr.com) last month. Sidewinder is
probably the defacto military standard for high security sites and it's an
excellent firewall IMHO but it isn't cheap and requires a good deal of
networking and UNIX knowledge to maintain properly.
