Dear all, I am having problems with a server's SQL*net connections to a database timing out after the 3600 second TCP_Timeout variable in FW-1... Ideally, I need to increase the value of the timeout for TCP 1522 from 3600 seconds to 90000 seconds (25 hours). There are 3 firewall modules that need to be covered by this change, all of them Nokia IP650s running FW-1 v4.1sp2. They are managed from a Provider-1 management server. I have tried adding the following to the local $FWDIR/lib/init.def on the firewall hosts themselves: ADD_TCP_TIMEOUT(1522,3600*25), as per the instructions Phoneboy provides but it doesn't work, after a restart of the firewalls 'fw tab -u -t connections' still shows connections to 1522 as having a timeout of 3600. The only things I can see that could be wrong are that either init.def needs to be modified on the Provider-1 server or the maximum TCPtimeout is 65535 seconds (or perhaps both?)... Has anyone come across this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sam. - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
