I have a problem with a Cisco PIX firewall. Version 5.1(1)202
On the Cisco secure I have few rules regarding timers :
- Start Hour.
- Stop Hour.
- Authentication idle timer.
- Authentication absolute timer.
The two first timers are applied on users. They can't connect through
the pix outside the hours defined in start and stop hours.
But the two others are not applied. Usually if they don't work during a
time defined in idle timer, they have to reconnect. And the absolute
timer disconnect them, even if they work, when the defined time is over.
But these two last rules are not applied. And so they can work the whole
day without disconnection. It's not our security policy!
I know I can define these two timers directly on the pix, but there are
other users that have different rules.
Someone told me that it owing to the PIX version. If you have more
information, thanks to tell here.
