Of course, the reseller is trying to stick to you. Basically you want to
sign up for software maintenance support, in order to receive the quarterly
updates and patches from Checkpoint. Usually the costs of support is an
arbitrary number that the reseller can go up or down on, if down ("it's a
steal") if up ("we have 24x7 FW-1 certified people on staff, etc.,etc
:") Basically you should check your cost per seat license *15%, and that
should be your basic maintenance and support costs. If you require hand
holding during configuration, implementation, contact a viable
network/security consulting service company. Avoid those that have stock
prices of $3.50 or less. They might not be around in a few months.
