Ok, all you guys need to relax. Let's have some fun here alright? I have
enough stress at work. I personally am not going to say that Cisco is better
just because there is a Cisco label. I go with what works and what amount of
time it takes to set it up.
I would give the Netscreen 100, 100 thumbs up if I could. Its very user
friendly with its GUI interface and has the ability to be configured via CLI
if desired.
NS can be a packetshaper because it has the ability to limit bandwidth either
based on Interface or by protocol. That is an excellent feature.  It does not
compare to Packeteer becuase once again, when you have a device that does
many things in one, it has to suffer somewhere. Packeteer is a device devoted
to Packetshaping so I would hope it can do a better job.
The NS-100 can support 128,000 TCP connections. With 4,000 VPN connections
simultaneusly. It runs on Netscreen's Second Genereation ASIC which is much
faster than their first (Obviously hehehe)
With its newer OS it now has 3 modes in which you can configure it.
Transparent
NAT
Routing

I hope i gave enough information about the Netscreen, if you guys have any
further questions FIRE WAY!!!
