Dear HurricaneIndy,
Hac> Do you have a dedicated link between your local network and the servers?
We only access the servers remotly via FTP & a remote app (like pc
anywhere)
Hac> Do your servers fall into the same network scheme as your local network?
Nope .. since they are at the co-location facility.. there is no
"physical" link between the server & the network at our office..
Hac> It seems like the servers are just sitting in another location with no
Hac> relation to the network so if thats the case a firewall between the servers
Hac> network and internet is all you need.
So in my case .. this is the topic i'm speaking about.. i need a
firewall to filter out the "evil" (attack) packages.. whats the best
sol for this?? a dedicated software system or a real hardware thingy..
can somebody give me some tips for this
Hac> BUT, if you have a dedicated link
Hac> between the 2 networks it might be a good idea to implment some security just
Hac> incase one of the networks get compromised....
