Anyone have problems with firewall-1 filling the message queue with unsent messages? our support provider recommends chron-ing the fw mdq command every hour. this seems wrong.
I never used that relay so I can't answer you
Secondly, anyone know of a linux utility that can route smtp based on the To: field without consulting MX records. We have a lot of mail sent to the same domain that needs to be routed to seperate servers on different subnets and networks.
Thanks
use the virtusertable map:
be sure it's included in your sendmail configuration
checking
if a line resembling "Kvirtuser hash -o
/etc/mail/virtusertable"
exists. If you can't find it, you should add virtusertable
map
support to your sendmail. In most of cases you locate the
mc
file where your sendmail.cf has been generated from and add
this line:
FEATURE(virtusertale, `hash -o /etc/mail/virtusertable')dnl
and rerun m4 on it to generate an updated sendmail.cf file.
At this point create or edit /etc/mail/virtusertable (or
/etc/virtusetable) and simply add:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
username_one@first_dept_server
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
whatever@second_dept_server
and so on
Update the virt user db with:
makemap hash virtusertable < virtusertable
and you're done.
Hope it helps.
