All of our workstations are on the 192.x range. We have a proxy server with 2 NICs
one 192.x and 63.x(public). The proxy server is also our DNS caching server. All of
our Clients use this server for their DNS. Our Exchange server has a 192.x and a 63.x
NIC. How can I add a DNS entry to force our Outlook users to go to Exchange's 192.x.
Our authoritative servers for DNS are our ISP. This is where our Public servers DNS
are pointing including the Proxy/DNS and Exchange server. Currently they are all
going through proxy to the Exchange server 63.x. Sometimes they timeout waiting for a
reponse. Someone else had set this up before. The proxy/DNS machine crashed and was
rebuilt. I thought all I needed to do was add a zone for the exchange servers domain
in DNS mycompany.com on our proxy/DNS server. Setup an A record for mail to point to
the 192.x and setup an MX record for mail.mycompany.com.

Please help!

Thanks,
Rose
